Arup

With our roots as consulting engineers, Arup is now a firm of designers in the broadest sense. From automobiles to infrastructure, structural engineering to communications consultancy, financial, and socially led engineering; our constantly evolving skill base  reflects the diversity and dynamism of both our clients and our staff.

We are passionate about design excellence and about designs that are relevant for tomorrow as well as today. Being designers of bridges, roads, buildings, power stations - in fact, any major impact on the environment - we take our role very seriously and work hard to help our clients to use sustainable materials and to minimise the effect that their projects have on our planet. We also work to improve the planning of major cities right down to local neighbourhoods to keep people who experience our spaces comfortable and in control of their environment.

Arup employs nearly 7,000 people around the world through a network of more than 70 offices and our projects have involved us working in more than 160 countries. One of our core beliefs is to have honorable dealing with our own staff and with other people. It is deep in the company's culture that we employ people who are bright, interested and able, then we give them the space to do good and exciting work. This approach has seen the organisation grow in terms of skills and business areas, as our staff see opportunities and are supported in harnessing them. We believe that the broad mix of nationalities that we employ leads to a richer working experience for all.

We have an established recruitment system that centres on industrial trainees, sponsored students and a large graduate intake each year.
